FFA Youth ‘C’ Licence

This course sets out to educate candidates 18 years and older in applying the National Curriculum holistically to develop Talented Players aged 9 - 17.

To understand and utilise the Coach Expertise Model in the Skill Acquisition (9 – 13 years) and Game Training (13 – 17 years) Building Blocks and develop the key coaching competencies of Training, Match and Management.

On completion of the course, successful candidates should demonstrate knowledge in the following:

  1. The National Football Curriculum
  2. The Objectives and Structure of Football
  3. The FFA Philosophy and Vision
  4. The FFA Team Model
  5. The Coach Expertise Model
  6. Plan, Prepare, Conduct and Evaluate a SAP Training Session
  7. Set a periodised training Plan for both the SAP and Game Training building blocks
  8. Communicate with and manage Youth Players

 

FFA Senior ‘C’ Licence

This course sets out to educate candidates 18 years of age and older focusing on the 11 v 11 aspects of the game to apply the National Curriculum holistically to develop Amateur Senior and Talented Youth players (17 and over).
To understand and utilise the Coach Expertise Model in the improvement of the Performance Phase Building Block and develop the key coaching competencies of Training, Match and Management.

On completion of the course, successful candidates should demonstrate knowledge and competence in the following:

  1. The National Football Curriculum
  2. The Objectives and Structure of Football
  3. The FFA Philosophy and Vision
  4. The FFA Team Model
  5. The Coach Expertise Model
  6. In game Match Analysis
  7. Plan, Prepare, Conduct and Evaluate a Training Session
  8. Effective team Talk and ½ time talks
  9. Develop a 6-week periodization pre-season plan

 

FFA ‘B’ Licence
For those holding an accredited FFA/AFC ‘C’ Youth or Senior Licence or recognised equivalent qualification.

This course sets out to educate candidates 18 years of age and older focusing on the 11 v 11 aspects of the game to apply the National Curriculum holistically to develop top Amateur Senior and Elite Youth players and State teams.
To understand and utilise the Coach Expertise Model in the improvement of the Performance Phase Building Block and develop the key coaching competencies of Training, Match and Management.

On completion of the course, successful candidates should demonstrate a deeper knowledge and competence in the following:

  1. The National Football Curriculum
  2. The Objectives and Structure of Football
  3. The FFA Philosophy and Vision
  4. The FFA Team Model
  5. The Coach Expertise Model
  6. Analyse Football and identify key football problems
  7. Plan, Prepare, Conduct and Evaluate a Training Session
  8. Time management
  9. Change Management
  10. Develop a 3-cycle periodization plan

 

FFA ‘A’ Licence
For those holding an accredited FFA/AFC ‘B’ License or recognized equivalent qualification.

This course sets out to educate candidates 18 years of age and older focusing on the 11 v 11 aspects of the game to apply the National Curriculum holistically to develop Semi Professional, State, Institute/Academy and National Youth League teams.
To understand and Utilise the Coach Expertise Model in the improvement of the Performance Phase Building Block and develop the key coaching competencies of Training, Match and Management.

On completion of the course, successful candidates should demonstrate a deeper knowledge and competence in the following:

  1. The National Football Curriculum
  2. The Objectives and Structure of Football
  3. Demonstrate their Philosophy and Vision
  4. Articulated their Team Model
  5. Apply the Coach Expertise Model
  6. Develop a detailed match plan
  7. Analyse Football
  8. Knowledge of a variety of Team Models and Styles of play

  10. Complete a Season Periodization Plan

FFA / AFC Pro Diploma
The aim of this particular course is to provide the professional coach with the necessary further training, support and guidance to succeed in both Club and International coaching at the very highest level.

The education of professional coaches to this level of qualification will create a workforce capable of having the expertise to coach and manage players in the 21st Century.

This course is open to holder of the FFA/AFC ‘A’ Licence (or equivalent) and those who meet the mandatory points requirement.

This course aims to broaden the knowledge of the football coach providing a detailed insight into contemporary and varied practice from a variety of relevant sources and to further develop the Coach Expertise Model to address modern day dilemmas and situations that arise within the daily operations of a Professional Football Organisation.

In terms of course philosophy all candidates will be expected to actively participate and lead all aspects of practical and theoretical discussion.  Where appropriate workshops will be task centred and based on case study, with an interactive approach to delivery being central to each module.
